We believe in setting the standard for building safe homes. That is why several safety features are added behind the walls of each and every home we build. Here is a list of all of our safety features:

Tornado Safety

The weather in Oklahoma can definitely be interesting. We tend to see everything from drought to snow and everything in between. But as we all know, Oklahoma is one of the top places in the world to see tornados. With that said, we want you and your family to feel protected in your home during extreme weather events. We add three tornado safety features to every home.

1.     Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is a super strong sheathing that surrounds the entire perimeter of your home. OSB gets its strength from the alternating orientation of the layers of wood that compose it.

2.     Anchor Bolts anchor the bottom plate of your home to the stem wall. They are anchored 8 inches into the concrete of the stem wall of your home, and the J shape locks the bolts in place.

3.     Tornado Straps anchor the top plate of your home to the rafters, which makes your roof more secure during severe weather.

Fire Safety

No one ever imagines a house fire, but unfortunately it is a possibility. We want to protect you and your family in case ahouse fire was to ever happen. Fireguard 45 surrounds the entire exterior of your home. This product is a commercial-grade fire resistant board with a 45-minute UL classified rating.

Water Safety

Water can cause a lot of damage to a home and can be costly to fix. We add several water-safety features to every home to decrease the chances of flooding.

Uponor PEX pipes are installed in every home. What are these pipes? They have a unique flexibility which decreases the chance for fewer leak points. The cold expansion fitting eliminates the possibility of human error during installation and gives a larger diameter fitting for increased water flow. 

Woodford Freeze-Proof Spigots are installed on the exterior of the home. These spigots are designed to prevent flooding that can occur when a garden hose is accidentally left hooked to the spigot during freezing weather. 

Atlas Pinnacle Pristine HP42’’ Shingles

Your roof will be protected during high winds! Designed with a wider format and double FASTAC adhesive sealant, these shingles have a 130-MPH wind rating. 

Security
