After eating an extravagant meal on Thanksgiving, we tend to go directly into Christmastime mode! Plus, it is always fun to decorate for Christmas.

 Here are some decorating tips for Christmas

Create a focal point

The focal point should be the Christmas tree. From the lights to the ornaments, from the tinsel to the topper, your Christmas tree should be decked out. Bring out your favorite ornaments and combine them with basic bulbs to create a beautiful tree.

Feel free to change it up every year. Decorate your tree to a different theme. Maybe do a different color theme every year.  

Decorating your fireplace or just your mantle will bring the Christmas spirit into your home. Add some garland over your mantle and hang those stockings. You can get more creative by wrapping some lights around the garland. If you have more room above your fireplace, consider adding tinsel, a decorative photo, a Christmas family photo or anything else that is Christmas themed.

Now that we covered the inside, what about the outside? Not everyone puts lights on the exterior of their homes, and we understand that – it is hard work. You can do some decorating to the exterior of your home without lights. When you go Christmas tree shopping consider getting a wreath for your front door. You can also add a Christmas themed front doormat, and some pathway candy cane-themed lights to your driveway.
