Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! Have you thought about staying at home for your Valentine’s date? A stay-at-home Valentine’s Day date can be even more romantic than a date out in the city. When you think about Valentine’s Day, you might think of an expensive night on the town. Staying home, though, means you have the freedom to create a perfect date in your own intimate setting. This could be your best Valentine’s Day yet! Here are a few ideas of some ways to stay at home on the most romantic day of the year.
Order in your favorite meal or cook
With the current pandemic, most couples may want to stay away from dining at their favorite restaurants. So why not order takeout and enjoy a nice meal in your home? If you feel like working in the kitchen, bake a fancy desert!
Plan a game night
After enjoying your dinner, bust out some old board games! Seriously, when was the last time you played a board game with your significant other? Pick games specifically made for two people such as Scrabble, Checkers, card games, etc.
At-Home Spa Treatment
You do not have to go to a spa to get relaxed—you can create a full spa night from the comfort of your home. Light a few aromatherapy-scented candles like lavender or eucalyptus to get you relaxed. You should also light a few non-scented candles to balance the aroma. Fill your bathtub halfway up with hot water and Epsom salts for a soothing detox foot soak. You and your significant other can sit next to each other on the side of the tub while you treat your feet. After a relaxing bath, pop in a movie and give each other foot rubs on the couch while you watch.
